Daily Plan (5 days, 4 one‑hour sessions per day)

Day 1 — Unbox to First Drive

  1. S1: Kickoff + Safety — What is SumoBots, ring rules, safety, kit inventory, tool basics.
  2. S2: Fast Build Base — Follow step‑by‑step videos to assemble a reliable chassis; motor/receiver check.
  3. S3: Controls + Drills — Pair transmitter/receiver; forward/turn/stop accuracy; edge‑save basics.
  4. S4: Mini Matches — Best‑of‑3 scrimmages, driver rotation, quick debriefs; parent coaching tips.

Day 2 — Traction, Weight, and Wedges

  1. S1: Grip Science — Tire cleaning, surface prep, traction vs. speed.
  2. S2: Weight Placement — Low center of gravity, battery position, secure fasteners.
  3. S3: Attachments — Build a front wedge/scoop; legal dimensions and quick swaps.
  4. S4: Drill Ladders — Push tests at angles; recovery and edge‑save maneuvers.

Day 3 — Strategy and Counter‑Builds

  1. S1: Opening Moves — Straight charge, angle approach, fake‑outs.
  2. S2: Scouting & Counters — Read opponents; counter wedges, pushers, spinners.
  3. S3: Match Plan — Opening, mid‑match, contingency checklist.
  4. S4: Bracket Scrimmage — Double‑elimination mini‑tournament; pit stop checks (battery, tires, fasteners).

Day 4 — Reliability and Refinement

  1. S1: Fail‑Safe Checks — Common failure modes, quick fixes, spare parts kit.
  2. S2: Precision Driving — Cone drills, circle control, ring‑edge micro‑adjustments.
  3. S3: Advanced Attachments — Low‑profile skirts, side deflectors; quick‑swap practice.
  4. S4: Timed Matches — Ref signals, reset etiquette, sportsmanship; timed best‑of‑3s.

Day 5 — Tournament Day + Path Forward

  1. S1: Seeding Trials — Drive accuracy, reaction tests, push power benchmarks.
  2. S2: Camp Championship — Bracket play with refs and match cards.
  3. S3: Post‑Match Tuning — Data review, targeted tweaks, rematch scenarios.
  4. S4: Awards + Next Steps — Awards (Fastest Build, Best Control, Sportsmanship, Camp Champion); how to join local leagues and register for events.
