LEGO Robotics: World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Challenge

Class Meeting Schedule: Tuesdays 4:30 - 5:30

Class Size: 1 to 8 students. For new students joining at any point, additional instructors are added to provide support and help them catch up seamlessly.

Group Discount: 5% (2–3 members) and 10% (4 members).

Start Anytime: New students are welcome to join at any point during the course. Instructors will be added to ensure a smooth integration.

LEGO Robotics: World Robot Olympiad Challenge

Get ready to engineer, code, and compete! In this hands-on class, students will design and build LEGO robots to tackle the official World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Elementary Challenge—right here at Blue Ridge Boost. Guided by experienced STEM coaches, participants will use real WRO mats, mission models, and authentic competition scenarios to bring their robots to life and test their skills.

Throughout the session, students will develop critical problem-solving abilities as they work in teams, mastering LEGO robotics and programming. The curriculum follows the actual WRO challenge rules, preparing students to perform at their best in a spirited, supportive environment.

Our Approach:

This class emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration. Students will:

Learn to build and program robots using LEGO SPIKE Prime kits.
Work in small groups to foster teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Try out actual WRO Competition challenges
Engage in fun and interactive challenges that simulate real-world problems.

Perfect for students in grades 3rd–5th who are new to WRO or want to strengthen their robotics skills. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and enthusiasm!
